Meet Louise and her role as Head of Sales at Hectaar
Every day, our dedicated team works with great commitment to bring our new homes to life. Today, we want to spotlight Louise, our Head of Sales, who has been an indispensable part of our team for over six years. Meet Louise and discover more about her contribution to Hectaar.
Could you introduce yourself?
I'm Louise Vandecappelle, 28 years old, and I live with my boyfriend Achile in Roeselare. Besides my great interest in (interior) architecture and a love for aesthetics, I am sporty and love exploring the world. I also enjoy dining out and hosting friends and family at our home.
What role do you play within Hectaar and how long have you been active?
In the fall of 2018, I started my career at Hectaar as a salesperson and customer advisor, a role I fulfilled with great pleasure for three years. In early 2021, I had the opportunity to advance to Head of Sales. This position is challenging and allows me to help realize the company's growth potential. It brings opportunities for myself and my ever-growing team, which consists of salespeople, customer advisors, a marketer, and a receptionist.
How did you find your way to Hectaar?
At a party, I spoke with an acquaintance about my job search in the real estate sector. He told me that Hectaar didn’t have any open vacancies at the time but might have room for an additional team member in the sales department. After a few applications with other developers and real estate agents, I was warmly welcomed by Jan and Mathias at Hectaar's modern office. My intuition made the decision, and the choice was quickly made. Hectaar it is! A choice that I'm still happy with to this day.
What achievements are you particularly proud of?
I am especially proud of my team, who dedicate themselves daily to our (future) customers. Each of them is driven to find the perfect home. Additionally, I look at Hectaar's growth with admiration. This growth is not only geographical but also reflects in the company's development, with a strong focus on innovation and forward-thinking. A beautiful example of this is the further evolution of our internal structure and digitalization. In short, I am proud to be part of this story and to have the freedom to contribute to it.
How does Hectaar work on promoting a positive team culture?
Two team-building events are organized annually: one before the summer vacation and one for Christmas. Additionally, extra activities are planned, such as an Easter breakfast, autumn barbecue, Saint Nicholas afternoon tea, spinning sessions, etc. These events create a friendly atmosphere and offer the opportunity to get to know colleagues in a different way.
What advice would you give to new colleagues at Hectaar?
In building a home, every part of the construction process must be executed at the right time by each team member so that the house can be delivered within the planned timeframe with quality. Every link is essential. Building is a team effort. If you have a good work ethic and are willing to learn, you’re in the right place with us! We have a motivated team that is always ready for each other.
What are you most looking forward to in your future at Hectaar?
In the short term, I look forward to moving to the new office. In the long term, I look forward to further growth and the challenges that come with it.
What is your favorite Hectaar project from the current offerings?
The Gendarmerie, an apartment complex consisting of two parts where one part is entirely new construction, and the other involves a thorough renovation of the old Bruges police station. It's a beautiful building with a charming facade, many authentic elements, and magnificent high windows and ceilings. In my eyes, a gem where I would certainly want to live if I were looking in the Bruges area. Legally and technically, this project has many challenges due to its complexity, but that doesn't stop us.
