From Receptionist to Administrative Expert: Discover More About Her Role at Hectaar
Behind every successful project stands a strong team of professionals. Today, we're putting Tanja in the spotlight. For three years, she has played an important role within Hectaar. She started as a reception staff member and now provides administrative support to the project leaders. Meet Tanja and learn more about her contribution to our team.
Could you introduce yourself?
I'm Tanja, 33 years old and I've been living in Roeselare for five years. Together with my partner, I bought and renovated my dream home here. Besides my job at Hectaar and family life, I like to make time for relaxation. I enjoy going out for a bite to eat or a drink with friends, discovering new places, and most importantly, catching up and laughing together.
What role do you fulfill within Hectaar and how long have you been active?
In the fall of 2022, I started at Hectaar as a reception staff member, combined with administrative support for the project leaders. In the meantime, I mainly focus on the administrative aspect, particularly everything related to utility companies. Since we have to consider the schedules of contractors and utility companies, it's important to act quickly and adapt flexibly to situations. No day is the same, and that makes my work so fascinating.
What achievements are you particularly proud of?
What am I really proud of? Our new office on Armoedestraat! We already felt good in the previous location on Westlaan, but our new office is a step further! It's more spacious, more homey, and the view is beautiful. A great place to work every day!
How does Hectaar work towards a positive team culture?
We attach great importance to a pleasant work atmosphere and a close-knit team. We organize two team-building events each year, which everyone participates in enthusiastically. Additionally, colleagues also take initiatives on their own. A joint lunch, a drink, or sporty activities like an afternoon run or a monthly spinning session ensure a good balance between work and relaxation.
What advice would you give to new colleagues?
At Hectaar, you have the freedom to independently bring your tasks to a successful conclusion and utilize your talents. The dynamic work environment and the cozy team make you feel at home quickly. Each day offers new challenges, ensuring that no workday is the same.
What are you most looking forward to in your future at Hectaar?
I'm looking forward to fully working with our new ERP system. This will make our work even more efficient and organized. Additionally, I'm pleased with the arrival of our new office manager, who will take on the reception function. She will also oversee my tasks during my maternity leave, something I am already grateful for.
What is your favorite Hectaar project from the current offering?
I am incredibly curious about the final result of the Gendarmerie in Bruges. The combination of the historic renovation and modern new construction appeals to me greatly. It will be a unique project with character!
What is your Hectaar Highlight?
Without a doubt: the move to our new office! The whole team looked forward to this, and the result speaks for itself. It's a place where we feel at home.
