The H-Team: Meet Tine

Behind every project is a dedicated team fully committed to the realization of our new housing developments. Today, we are putting Tine in the spotlight. With fourteen years of experience, she has become an indispensable part of Hectaar. Curious about Tine's story? Can you introduce yourself?

I am Tine, 38 years old, born in Tielt and currently living in Ingelmunster with my husband Steven and our three children: Thibaut, Charle, and George. After my real estate studies, I also followed an evening course in accounting. Since 2010, I have been part of the Hectaar team. My role in the company has grown alongside the company's development over the years. In my spare time, I enjoy having a drink with friends or dining out. Moreover, my schedule often revolves around my children's hobbies, which results in a busy but enjoyable planning.

What role do you fulfill within Hectaar and how long have you been active?

When I started at Hectaar fourteen years ago, my focus was mainly on administrative tasks. I dealt with everything from comparing quotes, updating sales files, to other supportive matters. Over the years, my role has evolved, and I now mainly focus on the legal aspect. I am the link between different departments, working on purchase deeds, subdivision plans, sales agreements, post-calculations, and following up on sales invoicing. The best part of my job is the variety and collaboration with colleagues from different departments. No day is the same, and that keeps it exciting.

How did you end up at Hectaar?

When I was looking for my first job after my studies, I didn't know Hectaar yet. It was a young and emerging company at the time. But when I got the opportunity to start here, I knew right away that it was the right choice. Now, fourteen years later, I still feel at home here.

Which achievements are you particularly proud of?

One of my favorite memories is our first major subdivision on Schuwe Maandagstraat in Roeselare. That project included 28 lots, which was a big step forward at the time. Now we are working on much larger projects, like Het Heldenkwartier in Roeselare with no less than 153 housing units. It's amazing to see how Hectaar continues to grow and to be able to contribute to that.

How does Hectaar work on a positive team culture?

We have a young and dynamic team where everyone supports and motivates each other. Lunch breaks are enjoyable and provide the perfect opportunity to catch up with colleagues. Moreover, we organize team-building activities twice a year to get to know each other even better and strengthen the team spirit.

What advice would you give to new colleagues?

Don't hesitate! At Hectaar, you join a young and enthusiastic team where you have the freedom to work independently. Additionally, we work in a beautiful new office that provides the ideal work environment. Our business leaders, Jan and Mathias, are very involved and trust you to take your own responsibility in your job.

What are you looking forward to the most in your future at Hectaar?

Moving to our new office was an important milestone I had been looking forward to. Now, I am mainly looking forward to the implementation of our new ERP system, which will make our operations even more efficient.

What is your favorite Hectaar project from the current offer?

Without a doubt, Het Heldenkwartier in Roeselare. The scale of this project shows how far we have come since Hectaar's early days. It's great to see that evolution and to be part of such a large-scale development.

What is your Hectaar Highlight?

For me, it's special to have grown alongside Hectaar. I have always had the chance and the trust to keep developing myself. That motivates me to bring out the best in myself every day.
